The
Bath
Volunteer Fire Department is happy to introduce our new fire station.
This 16,000 sq. ft. facility will house the overall operations of the
fire department
. The facility was turned over
to the department at the end of November by General Contractor R.J. Taylor.
In 1996 Bath Volunteer Fire Department Inc. formed a
committee to begin reviewing the feasibility of moving from our Liberty
Street
location to this new facility within the Village of Bath. Over the past
eleven years we developed a plan to help enhance this project. This
page will give you a look into our new station and how we got here.
The
fire department members have been busy over the past several weeks preparing
the building for the grand opening scheduled for January 26, 2008.
Office equipment and supplies were moved during the first few weeks
in December and fire apparatus was moved into the building on December 22,
2007. This was a great Christmas
gift
for our members and the community of Bath.
We hope that members of the community will enjoy this new fire station for
many years to come. Please take
